What is an Olfactory Flight?

Think of it like a wine or whisky flight, but for botanicals. You work through a curated sequence of essential oils, guided by the story behind each one. Where it came from. What the research says. Why it smells the way it does. You will not just smell something new, you will understand it. Each flight ends with a take-home oil and a card that tells its story.

Every flight ends with a take-home oil in a cork vial and a card with the citation, the provenance, or the story. The experience does not end when you walk out.

1Choose your flight

Walk in and ask what is available, or book in advance for a group. Three flights, three different lenses.

2Work through the sequence

Smell each oil in order, guided by Dr. Cavanaugh or a trained NRI associate. The story behind each oil is part of the experience.

3Ask everything

No question is too basic or too technical. The science is here if you want it.

4Take something home

A cork vial oil and a card with citation, provenance, or story. Designed to be kept.

Questions about Olfactory Flights

Do I need any experience with essential oils?

None. The flight is guided from start to finish. You will leave knowing more than when you arrived.

Can I choose which flight I get?

Yes. Walk in and ask what is available, or book a specific flight for a group in advance. Walk-in availability for the Rare and Exotic Flight depends on current stock.

How long does it take?

Most flights run 30 to 45 minutes. Groups tend to take longer because the conversation goes further. There is no hard stop.

Is it good for groups?

Very. Book in advance for groups of 4 or more. A great choice for corporate groups, private events, and anyone who thinks a wine flight is too predictable.

What does the take-home oil come in?

A small cork vial with a labeled card. The card tells the story of the oil, whether that is the citation, the origin, or the rarity. Designed to be kept.
