Eligible?
To join, you must have one or more generally healthy children aged 2-12 years.

First Aid
If you join, we'll send you a liquid plant-based product to apply to any cuts or scrapes that occur over the summer.

Compensation
In addition to keeping your assigned product, we'll compensate you $50 for your time.
Overview
Our research team is currently enrolling kids aged 2-12 years old for a first aid clinical trial. This study is evaluating the effects of different blends of essential oil based wound care on cuts and scrapes.
If you join, we will provide a dropper bottle of a plant-based product to store in your summer first aid kit. If your child experiences a cut or scrape during the study period, you'll apply the product as directed, take images of the injury, and provide daily information until the wound has healed.
Who is in charge this study?
The PI (primary investigator) for this study, and for all Nutraceuticals Research Institute studies, is Dr. Jessie Cavanaugh.
Dr Cavanaugh is a Harvard-trained clinical researcher who specializes in natural product research specifically to improve the health of women and children. With over 20 years of experience in the field and an extensive history of producing groundbreaking research, Dr Cavanaugh is one of the world's leading natural product researchers.
While you are in the study, you will have exclusive access to Dr. Cavanaugh for any questions that may arise.
Who can join?
To join this study, you must have one or more child aged 2-12 years old and can attest to the following for each child enrolled:
- My child in good overall health.
- My child does not have any of the following: a heart, liver, kidney, or lung condition, asthma, diabetes, an autoimmune condition, any form of cancer, psoriasis, uncontrolled eczema, or any other dermal condition.
- My child does not have any known allergies.
Each child (aged 6+) must also be able to sign an assent form understanding that their parent(s) have signed for them to join a research study and agreeing to participate.
Responsibilities
If you and your child join the study, you will need to complete the following tasks:- Be observant over the study period for any cuts, scrapes, or other routine kin-related injuries.
- Apply the provided treatment as directed until full healing has occurred.
- Take daily images of the injury, as directed in the study instructions, and provide daily updates on wound size, shape, and healing status.
